A classic tale of tragic romance, Puccini's La Bohème is one of the most famous operas ever written. It follows the unforgettable story of two young bohemian lovers in 19th century Paris. When young poet Rodolfo meets seamstress Mimì, it’s love at first sight. But faced by the cruel realities of poverty and ill health, will the flame that burns between them flicker and die? Or will the timeless strength of their youthful passion withstand every trial that life can throw at them?

Puccini’s sweeping story of young bohemians struggling to fulfill their dreams and find true love contains some of the most beloved music in all of opera. La Bohème is frequently referenced in popular culture—from the Academy Award-winning film Moonstruck to the Tony-winning musical Rent—making the story and its music instantly recognizable. Comedy, romance, and tragedy combine in one of the best-loved operas of all time.

Approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, including one 25-minute intermission Sung in Italian with projected English supertitles.
